I also made the switch from Canva to Affinity! I HIGHLY recommend the YouTube tutorials of Elaine Giles, absolutely thorough, delightful, and foolproof. Good luck!
Elaine Giles is the one to go for when there's a particular topic and you want at 2-hour, totally comprehensive tutorial that will give you full comprehension on the exact subject (like how to apply Master pages, for example, or indexes, or ToC). Some might find it TOO comprehensive. But Elaine is also just absolutely lovely to listen to, give her five minutes and you'll see what I mean.
I only discovered your newsletter recently, so I look forward to reading more in 2025. Also very curious to hear more about your experience with Affinity along the way as I have just picked it up. Thanks for a very inspirational read.
Thanks for the mention!
Hey mate, keep writing cool newsletters and I’ll keep mentioned them.
Eric Dill is an awesome writer!
Yeah I love his Actual plays and solo rpgs.

I’ll have to look up those tutorials. I’ve been watching the Affinity produced tutorials to get an idea how it works and they’ve been good.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, i’m excited about the new journey also. I think it will be a ‘level up’ for my rpg designs.
Happy holidays to you too!
Looking forward to seeing more about 11 minutes, and enjoying reading your stuff as always.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to getting some good work done over the holidays and reporting back in the new year.
